Feeding your fish is an art you need to master to be able to meet all the required nutritional needs of the fish. Since there is no way your fish can jump out of its salt water aquarium and be on its merry way to gather aquarium supplies; like aquarium pumps in a fish store and come back and make itself comfortable. Given a choice most fish would actually prefer to do the shopping and feeding process themselves. This is because they will live in uncomfortable environment as the keeper is not concerned with constant sanitation.

Funny as that may sound there are some fish keepers whose fish would do the reverse osmosis process for themselves and engage UV sterilizers. They would dutifully ensure that there is no nitrous effluence in their environment compromising their health. They would go as far as installing aquarium filters and aquarium lighting to ensure their lives and their wellbeing generally. Ultimately though the owner of the fish tank needs to get out and find the super market where he can do the purchases and sort out the needs of the fish that reside at his house. The fish will be most grateful for it.

It is not a specific timeline rule on when to change the water that a fish lives in. The rule to be honored is that the water that keeps the fish alive should be changed at some point. Unless one has installed dosing pumps for their aquarium and can gauge the sort of water passing through and being used for the livelihood of their water animals, the rule of water changing has to be obeyed to the letter. Aquarium air pumps might be useful in this regard to lengthen the water utility in the lifecycle of the fish tank.

A fish keeper who enjoys having his fish swimming by and entertaining his environment is one who is careful to not only give the sea plants the tank needs to create a comfortable ecosystem, but one who also ensures that the water used is clean all year through. Thanks to technology advancements all types of fish can be catered for in any environment regardless of life source. The water type does dictate which fish is kept under which system. The fish requirements for respiration are such that clean water extends how much oxygen they receive from the clean environment. In order to live they must receive as much oxygen as they their gills can possibly muster for their survival. Their gill efficiency though more effective than human lungs cannot substitute dirty water and make it clean to guarantee survival. The work of a fish keeper is to ensure that he has played his part in giving his aquarium fish a guarantee of survival by providing a safe environment for proper respiration to take place. Fish need their air space too. Other processes like digestion and ingestion can be compromising if fish are left to fend for themselves without sterilization and cleansing processes in a salt water fish tank.
