Every single woman on the planet is going to experience menopause. It comes with being female.

Unfortunatetly, this major change is never easy to experience. Many women have to deal with years that are filled with terrible symptoms that are difficult to control. Many women worry about how menopause will affect the people in their lives. Thankfully, if you learn about the different menopause symptoms you will be able to both comfort and support the women in your life as they deal with their various symptoms and changes. If someone you know is going through menopause, learning about her symptoms will help you to understand what she is going through and help you support her as she deals with the changes in her life.

One of the most annoying menopause symptoms, especially for the women going through it, is the loss of mental function. Many women report feeling confused, disoriented and that they have a hard time concentrating. Some women are especially distressed by lapses in their memory. Obviously this can be frustrating for you, but it is also frustrating for the other people in your life.

If the women in your life have this symptom try to be sympathetic. It is much more annoying for the woman than it is for you.

Many women who go through menopause report that one of their menopause symptoms was a sudden difficulty in sleeping through the night. If you are used to sleeping without waking and are suddenly having trouble falling or staying asleep it is possible that you are experiencing symptoms of menopause. Sometimes the inability to stay asleep is joined by night sweats or hot flashes. Other times it is not. A lot of the time this particular symptom gets misdiagnosed as just some simple difficulty sleeping. If you are experiencing it, you should see your doctor just to double check your condition.

Believe it or not, many women report a change in their natural scents and body odor when they start to go through menopause. Some women say it is the change in how they smell that makes them realize that menopause is imminent. This symptom, in particular, is very hard to notice. At the same time, if the person in your life suddenly smells differently (and it is not the result of a new perfume, body spray, soap or deodorant), they might be about to go through menopause.

Menopause is not really that great an experience for anybody. Even if you are not having the symptoms yourself, at some point menopause is going to impact your life. Everybody should learn what they can about menopause symptoms. Doing so will help you be more sympathetic to the women in your life who are going through it. In addition to being sympathetic it can also clue you in to what is happening to a woman when she reaches a certain age. You might even be able to help the women in your life figure out what is going on when they start experiencing symptoms.
